Aaron has spent the last six years working to expand access to economic opportunity at both a systems and individual level. He is currently an MBA candidate at the University of Oxford Saïd Business School, where he is a Skoll Scholar and a Director of the Oxford Seed Fund.
Prior to arriving at Oxford, Aaron led several initiatives to improve Iraq’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, including building an international coalition of government leaders, venture capitalists, and entrepreneurs to push for economic reforms and helping develop the Kurdistan Region of Iraq’s first university-based startup incubator. Aaron previously served as Chief Operating Officer of The OpenGov Foundation, a DC-based nonprofit working to bring private sector technology and innovation to public institutions. He has served as a senior advisor to a US Member of Congress for the last five years, and began his political career working on President Obama’s re-election campaign.
Aaron holds an AB with honours in History and Political Science from Brown University, and has lived and worked in 14 countries across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
