Biography
Cameron Peake is the Director of Social Innovations Special Initiatives at Mercy Corps. She operates as part of a team of experienced banking, technology, and development professionals to create financially sustainable, scalable programming that provides social impact to the global poor. In her role, Cameron leads select and strategic programs with a focus on mobile or social finance, including the management of a new fund between USAID and the Skoll foundation for high impact entrepreneurs.
Prior to her work at Mercy Corps, Cameron spent considerable time in Latin America, particularly the Southern Cone countries, where she worked as a writer. She has also worked as a freelance journalist and public relations executive in the technology industry. Cameron holds a BA, First Class Honors in International Development from McGill University.
