Biography
Deborah focused primarily on women’s health issues during her 30-year career as a physical therapist. Her practice area involved treating women for health issues encountered during all stages of life, including childbirth, the management of complications arising from breast cancer treatments and osteoporosis, and addressing changes associated with menopause. Deborah applied a prevention, wellness, and holistic treatment approach to her practice. Her expertise in the field of women's health also includes a longstanding teaching career.
Her emphasis as a lecturer on health and nutrition inspired her involvement in the Breadfruit Institute, an arm of The National Tropical Botanical Gardens. The Breadfruit Institute takes a leading role in promoting the conservation and use of breadfruit for nutrition and reforestation in response to critical global food security issues
Deborah received a BS in Zoology from Miami University, a BS in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University, and a Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy from A.T. Still, Arizona School of Health Sciences.
