Currently a graduate student at Yale University, Jackson Institute for Global Affairs, Eddy founded Peace for Africa and Economic Development, (PAD). PAD identifies vulnerable youth groups in remote communities in Kenya and help them build businesses to avoid manipulation into political violence, crime and involvement in illegal sects. In 2015 PAD was renamed Ongoza, swahili for “Lead”. Eddy is a graduate of African Leadership Academy, Trinity College Hartford, a member of African Leadership Network and a trained UNESCO International Youth Peace Ambassador. He has consulted on youth engagement strategy with both the MasterCard Foundation and Equity Bank. For his work with Ongoza, Eddy won the 2012 Impact Award from the Kenya Diaspora and was named Top 30 Under 30 Most Influential Young People on the African continent in 2013.
