Chair, Pilotlight FoundationPilotlight

Biography

Fiona Halton is Chair of the Pilotlight Foundation, which she set up in 2003.
Pilotlight places teams of highly skilled business people into non-profits to give them the business skills and tools to grow. Since Pilotlight started, over 800 such “Pilotlighters” have given over £7m of their time to 350 non-profits using a unique model of skills giving. Within a year of working with Pilotlight, non-profits increase their income, on average, by 50 per cent while also doubling the number of people they reach.
Before Pilotlight, Fiona helped launch the first ever Comic Relief as its Co-Director; it raised over £13m, while Comic Relief went on to raise far more. Fiona also inspired a new generation of volunteers by launching Timebank, a national volunteering project done with the BBC. She previously conceived and ran British Film Year, for which she won the British Sales and Marketing Award.
