Sustainable Development Lead and Innovation ExpertPGGM
I am a senior advisor responsible investing at PGGM in The Netherlands. We manage money for Dutch pension funds. We manage $200 billion globally in several asset classes. My role is to assist the investment teams to invest with more societal impact for our pension fund clients. Our aim is to quadrupple the amount that is invested in this way from $ 5 billion to $20 billion in 2020. I am coordinating the impact measurement activities. We focus mainly on 4 themes: climate, water, food security and healthcare.
I was actively involved in the Dutch SDGI initiative (www.sdgi-nl.org) that resulted in the report "Building highways to SDG investing'.
My other 'gig' is my role as one of the initiators of a Dutch startup social enterprice focusing on the employment of immigrants at a new bakery where part of the revenue of the breads sold are donated to the NGO The Hunger Project.
