Managing Director, Geneva Global
Guy is Managing Director & Deputy CEO for Geneva Global – a philanthropic consultancy company that specializes in international development. Guy leads the program and grant management division. He oversees three teams delivering high impact programs across Africa and Asia for a range of philanthropic clients.
He has lived and worked in Myanmar (Burma), Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, Turkey, UK, France, and the US. Guy has a wide range of experience in the sector, including leading humanitarian responses to both armed conflicts and natural disasters, as well as strategic leadership of longer-term development work in a range of geographies. He worked for Save the Children for 11 years, his last position with Save the Children was as Deputy Regional Director for the Middle East and Eurasia in Istanbul during the first years of the Syria conflict and the regional refugee crisis that resulted.
Guy is a UK-qualified Social Worker (to post-qualifying level). He holds two masters degrees: a Masters in Social Work from the University of York (UK), and a Masters in Children’s Rights from the University of Fribourg (Switzerland). Guy's undergraduate degree is in Theology (BA Hons) from Durham University (UK).
