Biography

Laura Flanders started out as a reporter covering Northern Ireland and social movements in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East for The Nation, In These Times and Pacifica Radio. Today she is the host of The Laura Flanders Show, a nationally syndicated, weekly program on which she interviews cutting-edge thinkers and doers with reality-based strategies for realizing radical change. Her independently-produced program is broadcast weekly on cable, satellite and public TV, as well as on YouTube. It is also available as a podcast. Flanders is also the author of the New York Times best-seller, BUSHWOMEN: Tales of a Cynical Species (Verso, 2004) and Blue GRIT: True Democrats Take Back Politics from the Politicians (Penguin Press, 2007) as well as the editor of several collections including At the Tea Party and The W.
