I have worked in public television in the U.S. my entire adult life. At the moment, I am the Executive Producer of the PBS NewsHour, public television's nightly national news program carried by more than 300 stations across the country. We are also seen in many other countries around the world through a variety of partnership and/or licensing agreements. The PBS NewsHour is co-anchored by Gwen Ifill and Judy Woodruff, and regularly features the work of correspondent Fred de Sam Lazaro. Fred heads up the Undertold Stories Project and covers the work of social entrepreneurs in developing nations, among other things. The NewsHour is particularly interested in stories that tell us something about how people are coping with the impact of war, poverty, climate change and natural disasters.
