Biography

Nancy Aossey is President & CEO of International Medical Corps, the Los Angeles-based humanitarian organization. As its startup CEO, shortly after its founding in 1984, Nancy is one of the first female social entrepreneurs to spearhead a global relief and development organization. She has scaled its efforts from three employees to 4,500, transforming it into a preeminent first responder and delivering more than $1.5 billion of assistance and training to millions of people in 70 countries. International Medical Corps has responded to every major disaster of the last 30 years, including Afghanistan, the Balkans, Rwanda, Darfur, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Syria, Somalia, the Indian Ocean Tsunami, Haiti and the Philippines. Nancy has testified before Congress, briefed the White House on humanitarian issues and appeared in most of the major media, including Good Morning America, CNN's Larry King Live, NPR, and in the LA Times, New York Times and Wall Street Journal.
