Rachel Briggs OBE is Senior Fellow at the Institute for Strategic Dialogue. She has led the development of ISD's groundbreaking work tackling online extremism, as well as writing and publishing on terrorism, counter-terrorism, foreign fighters and the role of non-state actors in conflict prevention and security. She regularly advises governments across Europe and North America.
She is a member of the Advisory Council of Wilton Park (an executive agency of the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office) and part-time Director of Hostage, a UK and US-based charity that supports hostage families and returning hostages.
Rachel was awarded an OBE in the 2014 Queen's New Year's Honours List for her work supporting hostage families and kidnap victims overseas.
