Biography
Valerio is passionate about how technology and entrepreneurship unlock positive impact. His expertise spans the engineering and the biomedical fields – with particular emphasis on water treatment. Currently a PhD student in non-invasive drug delivery, Valerio previously worked at the Centre for Robotics Research and most recently cofounded H2Ox – a project within Engineers without Borders with the aim of addressing water contamination by poisonous ions such as Arsenic, Fluorides and Nitrates.
Valerio’s brief professional experience includes placements in manufacturing at Ecowater Systems LLC, financial restructuring at Alvarez and Marsal and water technologies research at Idropan Dell’Orto Depuratori. Recently, Valerio joined the OxReach founding team to develop a crowd-funding platform to support high impact projects that originate within the University of Oxford. He also collaborated with Minmahaw Education Foundation, an organisation that aims at educating Burmese youth with disadvantaged backgrounds.
Valerio received an MSc in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Oxford, an MEng in Mechatronics and AKC from King’s College London and studied abroad at the University of Hong Kong and National University of Singapore.
