Director of OperationsIndependent Means
Whitney is the Director of Operations and a lead trainer at Independent Means Inc, which works to educate the next generation of UHNW families on the financial and philanthropic responsibilities of wealth. Before joining IMI, Whitney was a Kiva Fellow in Kigali, Rwanda. She is a graduate of the University of Florida and worked for three years as a research analyst with Porter Orlin hedge fund in NYC. After leaving New York, she volunteered with various NGOs within SE Asia in the areas of education and business sustainability. Whitney currently volunteers at Youth Interactive, working with teens to increase leadership skills and create sustainable businesses in Santa Barbara. She also recently coordinated and ran several programs in Cambodia to promote financial literacy and independence among teens residing in orphanages. Whitney is a junior board member of the Ruth and Hal Launders Charitable Trust.
