Accelerating Business Ecosystems & Nurturing Entrepreneurship: An Action Agenda for the Sanitation Economy

Tuesday, April 10, 2018

Session Description

We invite you to join us for a breakfast roundtable discussion hosted by the Toilet Board Coalition and Water.org, linking business initiatives for water and sanitation, aligning companies and societal leaders towards a joint vision and clear goals to change the game.

In this session global business leaders will share their work on business approaches to sanitation and the intersections between sanitation, water, energy, food and health as one system. The aim will be to identify synergies for joined up actions, and common barriers to be overcome to accelerate the Sanitation Economy.

Toilet Board Coalition (TBC), is a unique business-led public-private partnership, founded by global companies Unilever, Kimberly-Clark, LIXIL and Firmenich, with the ambition to address the global sanitation crisis by accelerating the Sanitation Economy. The TBC runs an accelerator programme for the sector and has has assembled a growing pipeline and evidence of significant new business opportunities across sectors in the Sanitation Economy – an estimated $62 billion opportunity by 2021 in India alone. The Sanitation Economy leverages innovative toilet design, recovery of biological resources within the Circular Economy, and smart digital technologies driving preventative healthcare, to create a double win – accelerated scale up of sanitation, together with multiple business opportunities.

We would like to invite you to join us, as a respected business leader, for a roundtable discussion to help shape future smart, sustainable water and sanitation systems together with cross-sector market-leading peers. We believe that accelerating the Sanitation Economy will deliver significant impact to society and business.
