  Hans Rosling

  Co-Founder, Gapminder Foundation

  Hans Rosling is Professor of International Health at Karolinska Institutet, and Co-Founder of Gapminder Foundation. As a young MD he worked in Mozambique (1979-1980) where he discovered a formerly unrecognised paralytic disease that his research team named Konzo. Hans co-founded Gapminder Foundation, an organisation that promotes a fact-based worldview by converting international statistics into moving, interactive and enjoyable graphics. His award-winning lectures on global trends have been labelled “humorous yet deadly serious.”

  Patrick Meier

  Director of Social Innovation, Qatar Computing Research Institute

  Patrick Meier is an internationally recognised thought leader on the application of new technologies for crisis early warning, humanitarian response, human rights and civil resistance. He is currently Director of Social Innovation at the Qatar Computing Research Institute. Previously, he served as Director of Crisis Mapping at Ushahidi and previously co-directed Harvard's Program on Crisis Mapping and Early Warning. Patrick holds a PhD from The Fletcher School, a Pre-Doctoral Fellowship from Stanford and an MA from Columbia University. He was born and raised in Africa.

  Soraya Salti was Senior Vice President of Middle East/North Africa for Junior Achievement Worldwide, INJAZ Al-Arab. Her efforts had led to the expansion of INJAZ to 15 countries, in the most successful private public sector partnership in education reaching more than 1 million youth, in the region with the world’s highest youth unemployment. She won the 2006 Schwab Social Entrepreneur award for Jordan, became a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum and was the first Arab woman to win the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship. The Skoll Foundation mourns the loss of Soraya Salti, founder of INJAZ al-Arab. In 2015, Soraya and her sister, Jumana, both died tragically and unexpectedly.

  In 2017, Roger was named the world’s #1 management thinker by Thinkers50, a biannual ranking of the most influential global business thinkers. Roger Martin serves as the Institute Director of the Martin Prosperity Institute and the Michael Lee-Chin Family Institute for Corporate Citizenship at the Rotman School of Management and the Premier’s Chair in Productivity & Competitiveness. From 1998 to 2013, he served as Dean. In 2013, he was named global Dean of the Year by the leading business school website, Poets & Quants. He has published 11 books the most recent of which are Creating Great Choices written with Jennifer Riel (Harvard Business Review Press, 2017) Getting Beyond Better written with Sally Osberg (HBRP, 2015) and Playing to Win written with A.G. Lafley (HBRP, 2013), which won the award for Best Book of 2012-13 by the Thinkers50. He has written 25 Harvard Business Review articles. Roger is a trusted strategy advisor to the CEOs of companies worldwide including Procter & Gamble, Lego and Verizon. A Canadian from Wallenstein, Ontario, Roger received his AB from Harvard College, with a concentration in Economics, in 1979 and his MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1981.

  Judith Rodin is a pioneer, innovator, change-maker, and global thought-leader. For over two decades, Dr. Rodin led and transformed two global institutions: The University of Pennsylvania and The Rockefeller Foundation. Her leadership at Rockefeller ushered in a new era of strategic philanthropy that emphasized large-scale partnerships with business and government to address and solve for the complex challenges of the 21st century, and championed two new fields that are at the forefront of current thinking: resilience and impact investing. Dr. Rodin has served as a board member of nine leading public companies, including Citigroup, Comcast and Aetna, as well as numerous venture-capital backed startups, and nonprofits including The Brookings Institution. She has been the recipient of 19 honorary doctorate degrees, numerous prestigious honors, and is a sought-after speaker for influential global forums including The World Economic Forum, the United Nations General Assembly and the Vatican Global Forum. Dr. Rodin has authored more than 200 academic articles and chapters, and has written or co-written 15 books, including The Power of Impact Investing: Putting Markets to Work for Profit and Global Good and The Resilience Dividend: Being Strong in a World Where Things Go Wrong. Her latest book, released in early 2021 by Wharton School Press, is entitled Making Money Moral: How a New Wave of Visionaries is Linking Purpose and Profit.

  After emerging in the 70s, Eva Ayllón immediately set a landmark by establishing herself as the leading exponent of Afro Peruvian music. Ayllón focuses on the elegant and lively genres of the coastal plains of Peru. She is known for singing the landó, the festejo, and the vals, all mestizo blends of Peru’s indigenous, African, and Spanish musical heritage.   Stephan Chambers is the inaugural director of the Marshall Institute at LSE and Director of the 100x Impact Accelerator. He serves on the steering groups for the Just Transition Finance Lab and the LSE Grantham Research Institute. At LSE he also sits on the governing board for the Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity and is Professor in Practice at the Department of Management and Course Director for the Executive Masters in Social Business and Entrepreneurship. Before joining the Marshall Institute Stephan Chambers was the Co-Founder of the Skoll World Forum. From 2000 to 2014 he directed the University of Oxford’s MBA and was the founding Director of Oxford University's Executive MBA programme.

  Peter Tufano

  Peter Moores Dean; Dean of Said Business School, Saïd Business School

  Professor Peter Tufano has served as the Peter Moores Dean at Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford since July 2011. His work focuses on financial innovation, especially that which improves lives of low-income families. This work is reflected in his research; the social enterprise he founded to support wealth-building by the American families (buildcommonwealth.org); and policy engagements credited with influencing US policy, including the U.S. American Savings Promotion Act. As Dean, he has emphasized the role of business education in addressing the major challenges of the world through deeper connections with the broader university and a clearer articulation of purpose. At Oxford, this orientation has manifested itself in the Oxford 1+1 MBA Programme; the “Global Opportunities & Threats: Oxford” required course that emphasizes systems interventions and leadership; a set of new entrepreneurial projects including the pan-University The Oxford Foundry and the global partnership with Creative Destruction Lab; the promotion of humanities in the leadership curriculum; and the promotion of a responsible business agenda oriented around the UN SDGs. Before joining Oxford, Tufano spent 33 years at Harvard, with more than two decades on the faculty of Harvard Business School, where he co-founded the Harvard University Innovation Lab (i-Lab).
