Toby Eccles has been developing a Social Investment Bank since October 2005, initially as a recommendation to government through the Commission on Unclaimed Assets and more recently at Social Finance. Before this he was at the foundation ARK where he built programmes around education in the UK and communities with high HIV levels in South Africa. Commercially Toby worked in corporate finance at UBS Warburg, and developing new business at Data Connection, a software company. He is a non-executive director of Antidote, a charity developing emotional intelligence in schools, and a board member of the Guinness Trust, a housing association.

Partner, LGT Venture Philanthropy
Oliver Karius is a partner at the emerging markets impact investor, LGT Impact, co-managing both LGT Impact’s and LGT Venture Philanthropy’s global work since 2007. He has 20 years of experience in sustainable/impact investing and is a member of the LGT Sustainability Board and serves on various LGT Impact/ LGT VP portfolio company boards. Previously, Oliver was managing director of VantagePoint Global, a strategic consultancy building capacity for sustainable investing in emerging markets, and worked on the formation of DeRisk Advisory Services and the sustainable asset management company Forma Futura. Prior to that, he worked for Sustainable Asset Management, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. He holds an MSc in Global Environmental Change and Policy from Imperial College, London and a Diploma in Biology from Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich.

Managing Director, Potrero Impact Advisors
Dan Crisafulli created Potrero Impact Advisors in October 2010, building on a long career as an early stage investor focused on emerging markets. Previously, he served as director of investments at the Skoll Foundation, which he joined in 2007. A leader in “new philanthropy” and social investing, the Skoll Foundation was created by eBay founding president Jeff Skoll with the goal of driving large-scale change through entrepreneurial approaches. Dan led Skoll’s work in impact investing, including direct and fund investments, and he played a key role in creating partnerships to advance the field of social entrepreneurship.
