Biography
Amanda Bolster serves as Associate Director of Development and Partnerships, at The Task Force for Global Health. As a member of the Center for Vaccine Equity program team, she focuses on engaging new partners in the innovative work of the Partnership for Influenza Vaccine Introduction (PIVI). Given the inherent link between seasonal influenza and pandemic preparedness, PIVI is creating partnerships to protect communities from the immediate effects of flu, while also building the immunization infrastructure required to protect against a future pandemic.
The World Bank has labeled global pandemic one of the greatest risks facing the world today, yet the 2009 H1N1 pandemic demonstrated that many countries are not as well-prepared as they should, and could, be to respond to a pandemic.
With 20 years of branding/communications experience in the nonprofit and corporate sectors, Amanda brings a unique perspective and skill set to the PIVI and Task Force team. Amanda’s work is to cultivate the creative, strategic and impactful partnerships needed to create systems-change at the community, country, and ultimately global level – keeping us all safer from pandemic and other emerging disease threats.
Previous to her work at The Task Force, Amanda spent more than a decade cultivating and creating strategic partnerships that dramatically expanded brand recognition for CARE, a leading global humanitarian organization. Prior to CARE she worked for leading Georgia-based corporations and non-profits, including Turner Broadcasting, United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta and The Home Depot. Amanda has traveled extensively for her work, and is fluent in Spanish.
