Biography

Dr. Amoury A. Amoury serves as the Director of Policy and Planning at Tanzania's Ministry of Health. In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing the formulation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of health policies and plans to strengthen the nation's health system.

In October 2024, Dr. Amoury played a pivotal role in the Universal Health Insurance Symposium and National Health Financing Dialogue held at the Arusha International Conference Centre. During the symposium, he presented the general overview and vision of Universal Health Insurance in Tanzania, highlighting strategies to enhance health system efficiency and accessibility.

Dr. Amoury's leadership in policy and planning is integral to Tanzania's efforts to achieve universal health coverage and improve health outcomes for its citizens.
