Biography

Doreen is the Chief of Staff and Director of Government Relations for One Acre Fund in Rwanda. One Acre Fund serves smallholder farmers in East and Southern Africa, providing farm inputs, financing, and training that helps farmers to increase their yields and become more prosperous. Globally, One Acre Fund has 8,500 staff who serve more than 1 million farm families each year, with an additional 1 million households reached through private and public partnerships.

Doreen oversees One Acre Fund’s country-scale engagements and partnerships with the Government of Rwanda, as well the program’s policy, communications, and legal and compliance portfolios. She coordinates strategy setting for the Rwanda leadership team and leads key strategic initiatives, organizational campaigns, and external partnerships that improve organizational culture, policy and impact alignment, and program efficiency.

Doreen holds a B.A in International Relations from Tufts University and is a 2018 Skoll Foundation and Mastercard Foundation Emerging Leaders Fellow and an Opportunity Collaboration Global Skoll Foundation Fellow. Prior to joining One Acre Fund, Doreen worked on Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) in Belize with the United States Peace Corps and has previously worked with the World Justice Project, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Rwanda, and Youth Action Africa.
