CEOEngineers Without Borders
Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, George studied mechanical and biomedical engineering at the University of Waterloo before co-founding Engineers Without Borders Canada with Parker Mitchell in 2000. George is an Ashoka Fellow and has been recognized as one of Canada's leaders in the non-profit sector.
EWB Canada has evolved over the years to become an incubator of systemic innovations that can change the way poverty and major global issues are tackled. It has attracted and trained thousands of leaders in Canada and across Africa, who are involved in starting and growing ventures in food systems, public services, small and growing businesses, responsible mining, and engineering education/professional practice.
