Navin Singh Khadka is a BBC World Service environment correspondent, reporting in four languages for TV, radio and online. His works reach tens of millions of audiences -- both in the developed world through the English outputs of the BBC and to poor and vulnerable communities in developing countries through the BBC's language services. Before joining the BBC nearly 15 years ago, he worked with almost all English language newspapers in Nepal and is a columnist with the Kathmandu Post, the largest selling English language daily in the country. An international fellow on climate change journalism, he mainly focuses on climatic and weather-related disaster issues in the Himalayan region. He has covered the UN climate change negotiations for nearly 10 years and has gained expertise on international climate politics and adaptation issues in least developed countries. He also follows and regularly covers illegal wildlife trade. In his 20-year journalism career, he has broken several environment-related news, done a number of investigative stories and has authored chapters in two books on South Asia's environment. He has conducted climate change coverage trainings for journalists.
