Biography

Patrick Sikana is responsible for the strategy and oversight of VillageReach programs. He has led teams in implementing health, education and livelihoods interventions in emergency, recovery and development settings with the UN and 6 international NGOs in Southern, East and West Africa, as well as South America since 1996.

Before joining VillageReach, Patrick was Regional Programme Director at Aga Khan Foundation East Africa where he worked in strategy development, program design, quality assurance, learning, resource mobilization, visibility and civil society strengthening.

Patrick believes that learning does not end and that with each experience one always adds to one’s knowledge. Born in Zambia, Patrick holds a Master of Public Health from Lund University, Sweden, a Master of Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague, Netherlands, and a Bachelor of Arts with Education from the University of Zambia, Lusaka, Zambia.
