Mr. Alejandro Alvarez von Gustedt is the Representative of the Office in Europe of the Inter-American Development Bank, based in Madrid. As such he is responsible for nurturing the relationship with the Member states, and to develop partnerships with a wide range of actors, including public institutions, private corporations, impact investors, NGOs, foundations and universities. He is a national of Germany and Spain, holds a Law degree and a Business Administration degree from the University Pontificia de Comillas in Madrid, and a Master’s of Science in International Relations from Georgetown University. He has 20 years of international project experience in multiple industries and geographies, particularly as a strategy consultant and part of the leadership team of Monitor Group, where his last position was Partner and Head of Human Assets, Recruiting and Operations for Europe and the Emerging Markets. Previous to that, he had been a consultant at the Mult. Investment Guarantee Agency
