VP, Participant Media
As VP of Social Impact, Amanda is responsible for the design and successful execution of social impact campaigns for Participant Media's documentary and narrative media slate. Amanda works to build strategic partnerships with non-profits, government and private sector organizations to ensure that films like Ai Wei Wei's Human Flow, An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, or KAILASH, reach key influential audiences and all audiences are equipped with the tools for meaningful engagement. Before focusing exclusively on Participant's social impact campaigns, Amanda worked within Participant's agency group, where she helped brand and foundation clients drive greater impact through storytelling and media. Working closely with Pivot TV and TakePart.com, Amanda built and oversaw Take Part World, a multi-media global health and development content series funded by the Gates Foundation.
Prior to Participant, Amanda was Associate Director of Commitments and Head of Global Health at the Clinton Global Initiative, where she oversaw global health-related programming and worked with corporate and NGO members to structure projects in the areas of food systems, the health of women and girls, early childhood development, and HIV/AIDS, TB, and malaria. At CGI, Amanda led strategic efforts to optimize the organization's platform for storytelling, partnership, and action. Her background also includes work for the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), Citrix Online, and Education First in research, marketing, and curriculum development, respectively.
Amanda has a B.A. in International Development Studies and an M.A. in Global and International Studies (Global Political Economy) and lives in Los Angeles.
