Austin Harris is the founder of Inkomoko, a Rwanda-based business accelerator for high-potential SMEs. Inkomoko provides consulting, financing, mentoring, and capacity building services to develop businesses in the region. Austin brings more than seven years of experience working in finance. With a BA in Economics from Swarthmore College, Austin first began his career in an upstart M&A firm, then later worked in Risk Control and as a Financial Analyst for Citigroup. Austin transitioned to microfinance, first working with the International Finance department of BRAC in Bangladesh, and then heading the financial analysis and strategy for Urwego Opportunity Bank in Rwanda. Early in his career, Austin also founded an apparel company. Working with the United Nations Development Program in Brazil, Austin was able to sell finished products from small clothing factories in Brazil to the U.S. and Europe. Currently, Austin is a Skoll Scholar and obtaining his MBA at Said Business School.
