Biography
In 2000 Bobby Sager left the business world and founded the Sager Family Foundation. He and his family have traveled the third world to engage in hands-on, eyeball-to-eyeball philanthropy aimed at impacting leaders and helping people to help themselves. Bobby reapplied his entrepreneurial and business skills to make an impact in areas of conflict and crisis, including Rwanda, Afghanistan, and Palestine. He currently serves as the Honorary Consul General for Nepal and Rwanda and is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Polaroid. Bobby was the inspiration for the NBC primetime series The Philanthropist (2009), and an author of two books The Power of the Invisible Sun (2009) and Beyond the Robe (2012). Bobby has been a leader in the Young Presidents' Organization and was the first ever recipient of the YPO Global Humanitarian Award in 2002. In 2013 YPO honored Bobby with the Hickok Award, which has only been awarded nineteen times in its 63 year history.
