Catherine Bachand

Biography

Catherine B. Bachand assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer of ONE DROP in April 2012. Catherine leads an inspired team that strives to fulfill the organization's mission to carryout innovative water-related development projects. She also sets the direction of ONE DROP’s international affiliates. Catherine began her career in Canadian federal politics in 1998 in the Office of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada. She then joined the Office of the Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and President of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada as a Policy Advisor. She was promoted in 2000 to the Canadian Prime Minister's Office, where she worked on the Summit of the Americas. This was followed by a stint at the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. In 2004, she joined the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC). Catherine is a member of the Young President’s Association (YPO).
