Throughout his career, Chad has been passionate about the role of business in solving social problems - specifically its ability to do so at scale. While much of his recent work has involved building and activating communities of practice among Fortune 500 companies, strategy consulting firms, and international nonprofits, Chad's roots lie in field-based corporate responsibility and global development.
At present, Chad resides in San Francisco and leads the development of global partnerships at FSG, a mission-driven nonprofit consulting firm. As Director of Partnerships, Chad is responsible for nurturing cross-sector partnerships in support of the Shared Value Initiative. in this capacity, Chad builds relationships that increase adoption of shared value as a business strategy while activating issue-based collaboration among a growing community of companies, nonprofits, foundations, and development banks.
Prior to FSG, Chad served as Director of Impact and Innovation at Tides Foundation and Director of Global Partnership Development at BSR in San Francisco. Chad has also held roles in Asia, including Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (Hanoi) and Program Officer at The Asia Foundation.
