Biography

Chris is an award-winning repeat-entrepreneur, an engineer, and a philanthropist. He is the founder and board chair at Health Access Corps that focuses on strengthening healthcare systems in Africa using local talent to combat the extreme shortage of healthcare services in underserved regions. He is also the Founding Partner at Startup Playbook which is a pre-seed fund that provides the “friends and family” round of financing to support software startup companies run by women and other entrepreneurs who have been traditionally underrepresented in venture capital market. Before that, he was the Founder/ CEO at UCOT a company that created a unique model creating solutions to unintended and willfully ignored consequences of Technology. Chris has won many international awards for his work, TED-Fellow, Forbes Magazine 30Under30, and most recently he has been honored by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader (YGL). Chris is a CAL BEAR after acquiring his education from the University of California, Berkeley where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science, and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
