Biography

Dr. Danielle Logue is an academic who completed a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Science (MSc) at Said Business School, University of Oxford, and was also a visiting scholar at Stanford University. Danielle currently leads the research program for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade InnovationXchange Unit on the Social Entrepreneurship and Impact Initiative (SEIII). She was recently awarded a Research Fellowship by the Australian Research Council to investigate the development of the impact investing market in Australia, and the role of social stock exchanges in creating the ‘rules of the game’ in this nascent market. As an economic sociologist and organizational theorist, in her research Danielle also draws upon her professional experiences, having worked at the World Bank, in the private sector in foreign aid and business development, and for the Australian government in delivering business assistance programs for entrepreneurs. Dr Logue is a visiting scholar at the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship, University of Oxford for 2015 – 2017. At her home university, UTS, she founded the Social Innovation Fellows program, where MBAs assist social enterprises to become investor ready. Her forthcoming book ‘Theories of Social Innovation’, in which she examines the overlapping roles of the State, Civil Society and Private Sector in generating and funding social impact will be published in 2018.
