Biography

Ernie Allen is President and CEO of the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children which leads the global effort to protect children from sexual exploitation and abduction. He formed a financial coalition to eradicate commercial child pornography and a health coalition to attack sexual exploitation as a public health crisis. ICMEC has trained police in 121 countries, enacted child pornography laws in 100 countries and set up a global network.

For 28 years he headed the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children bringing training, forensics and technology to law enforcement. He created the CyberTipline and national missing children’s hotline. 180,000 children were recovered and their recovery rate increased from 62% to 97%.

Considered a world leader in the fight against child abduction, sexual exploitation and human trafficking, his work has been recognized by four US Presidents, Congress, Department of Justice, Interpol and others.
