Biography

Jennifer's passion for protecting the natural world was ignited in the 1990's after reading William Dietrich's The Final Forest, a journalistic examination of the 'timber wars' in the old growth forests of the Pacific Northwest. Since then, she has served on the board of the Red River National Wildlife Refuge, lobbied U.S. Congress to protect Alaska's wilderness, been a guest lecturer at the Field Museum in Chicago and created environmental education programs with Dr. Jane Goodall. She has served in executive positions for national and international organizations supporting causes such as global health, conservation and wildlife and has been interviewed by NPR, The London Times and The New York Times as a program expert. Jennifer currently serves as the Forest Stewardship Council's Senior Relationship Manager. She has a Master of Arts in Environmental Studies from Prescott University in Arizona and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Horticulture and Botany from Auburn University in Alabama. In her spare time, you will find her gardening, volunteering or curled up with a good book.
