Jim Greenbaum

Biography

Jim’s focus is on innovative projects working to bring about the end of suffering (human and non-human) in areas of the highest need where mainstream organizations are not heavily involved and where he believes he can have the most impact. Jim left the business world in 1999 at 41 years of age to found and work full time at The Greenbaum Foundation.

Human Rights, Health, Human Trafficking, Philanthropy, Animal Rights and Animal Welfare are the primary beneficiary areas for the foundation which funds annually in the 3 to 5 million-dollar range.

Jim is passionate about bringing business efficiency and selfless, common sense approaches to the humanitarian world. Jim assists organizations with guidance, networking and funding. He has also committed to contributing in excess of 85% of his wealth to charitable projects during his lifetime, and the remainder soon thereafter.

Jim is an Executive Producer of the documentaries "What The Health" "Cowspiracy" "Not My Life" and the Emmy nominated VR film "Beyond The Fence." Jim follows an Effective Altruistic approach for his philanthropy.
