Biography

Jo has responsibility for the implementation of M&S’ eco and ethical plan, Plan A, into the heart M&S’ global business where products are sold in 51 territories across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Jo also has responsibility for horizon scanning and bringing innovations into the UK community programme which engages employees, customers and local stakeholders across 800 stores and leverages £19.2 million for good causes each year.

Prior to joining M&S, Jo was an Executive Director with Business in the Community (BITC) where she led the development of BITC’s work on responsible supply chains, sustainable marketing and product innovation. Previous to this, Jo worked for Starbucks and Médecin Sans Frontières in Toronto, Canada and an educational charity in Hong Kong.

She is a trustee of two charities, The Boxing Academy - a school that is changing lives of children at risk of permanent exclusion in London, and Techo Europe – an NGO working with families in Latin American to overcome poverty in slums through community development and transitional housing.
