Kat has been working with Bioregional for the last 9 months to raise funds for the wide range of projects that Bioregional carry out. Her main focus has been on the delivery of One Planet Living, a framework of ten principles that have been developed to make living a sustainable life as straight forward and accessible as possible.
Kat has worked with the KR Foundation, based in Denmark, to develop a project that will see the creation of 4 One Planet cities in countries around the globe. By working with partners, governments, corporations, education institutions and communities, the KR Foundation's money will help to create around 100 sustainability action plans that will deliver truly sustainable behaviour change.
Kat has also worked with the Wates family trust on a smaller, but equally as important project, working directly with 5 schools in the UK to develop their own One Planet Action plans, and teaching young students the importance of sustainable lifestyles.
Prior to this, Kat worked in the engineering sector, project managing the development of new radar sensors for security, traffic sensing and automation. She was responsible for a number of successful Innovate UK projects and has transferred these skills to the charity sector.
