AssociateSkoll Foundation
Katie joined Skoll in 2017 as an Associate on the Portfolio and Investments team. She supports the Foundation’s work in identifying, evaluating, and investing in social entrepreneurs that are driving large-scale change around the globe. Prior to joining Skoll, Katie worked in corporate social responsibility where she developed and managed sustainability and community outreach programs for DISH Network and Coca-Cola.
Katie has led various projects for a nonprofit organization she co-founded, Rooted In Hope, aimed at assisting smallholders farmers and promoting environmental conservation. She both designed and distributed a small-scale drip irrigation kit which she introduced to families in East Africa and Central America. Katie has also lived and worked in Thailand and Argentina, supporting local civil society organizations.
Katie graduated summa cum laude with a BS in International Business and a minor in Spanish from Cal Poly University in San Luis Obispo, and received her Master’s degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona. She is an avid traveler and has visited over 40 countries and all seven continents. In her free time she enjoys hiking, snowboarding, camping, competing in half marathons, painting, and playing the guitar.
