Kees Vogt

Biography

Kees Vogt is Winrock’s Tanzania Country Director and leads the MUS work under the Tanzania Integrated Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (iWASH) program. In this capacity he is responsible for the provision of water to 150,000 people. Previously, he served as director for Winrock’s MUS project in the Zinder region of Niger. Mr. Vogt has over 25 years’ experience developing, managing, and implementing environmental, agricultural and water resource programs, projects, and initiatives in Sahelian, East and West Africa. Mr. Vogt served 20 years in various leadership and director positions with UK-based SOS-Sahel in Niger and Sudan. A natural resources professional, Mr. Vogt worked in Kenya with Oxfam in three districts and the Kenyan government setting up tree nurseries. He has extensive, innovative and varied operational experience in environmental, agricultural, land tenure and private sector programs.
