Marlys Boehm

Biography

Marlys Boehm, is President of The Boehm Gladen Foundation. The Foundation is primarily involved in doing capacity building on projects in conjunction with the BOMA Investment side of our social enterprise activities. The Foundation is also actively supporting development and communication infrastructure around social space.

In addition, Marlys and her husband Ron are founders and principals of Boma Investments, LLC. Boma invests in for-profit social businesses that can create local jobs, can become self-sustaining, and can support debt, royalty and/or equity investments. Most investments are early stage in the United States, Africa and India.

The preferred approach for support from either the Foundation or Boma is to support companies or organizations that are working collaboratively across silos and borders, have a strong positive impact outcome expectation and are including a long term plan for sustainability.
