I am the Director of Partnerships & Development, a multi-sector partnership between the private sector, NGOs and research institutions focused on improving sustainable access to safe, affordable water and sanitation services. My role is to develop strategic partnerships and mobilise resources for our programmes in six countries and I work with DFID, USAID, the Dutch, French and Australian Governments as well as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and a range of US and UK private and corporate foundations. I work closely with the private sector to support the development of innovative and socially inclusive business models targeted at the base of the pyramid. I also support WSUP’s influencing of the multilateral finance institutions (World Bank, European Investment Bank) to make sustainable investment in water and sanitation services in towns and cities. My early career was spent at WaterAid and my work has enabled me to travel extensively to Africa, Asia and Australasia.
