Rihab began working in development in 2006 as the United Nations Youth Delegate to Libya for the Millenium Development Goals. On February 19th, 2011, Rihab co-founded the New Libya Foundation, an NGO which supports the development of Libyan civil society. The NLF assisted in the building of Libya’s brand new civil society through incubator centers which act as office space, and training facilities for over 100 organizations in Tripoli and Misurata, and the development of various crowd-sourcing and consultation platforms in partnership with local governments and international partners. She is passionate about using technology to engage the grassroots, particularly women and youth, in a new, naturally decentralized approach to governance.
