How to weave collaborations to solve complex problems?

Thursday, April 2, 2020

Session Description

We are facing massive challenges in our future as humanity; the COVID-19 pandemic shows us how fragile and isolated are our health, educational, and economic systems.

We live in a VUCA world (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous), with inadequate approaches and models to social change; siloed and disconnected institutions focus on symptoms rather than root causes of our social challenges.

In this world where social problems are more complex, every day, we need a new kind of leadership. A leadership that connects diverse actors working in a collaborative way to increase their impact in solving complex problems, achieving systemic change, and promoting wellbeing for all.

We call this weaving: a new style of leadership focused on changing systems and mindsets through collaborative action.

We believe that a better world for all is possible, that's why we support leaders to think and act holistically to increase their long-term ecosystem impact, becoming weavers.

No one individual or institution has the answers to any of the complex, complicated issues we are facing today. We believe the innovations of tomorrow will be coming from the intersectionalities of sectors. So we need to weave together powerful, innovative partnerships between conventional and unconventional stakeholders anchored in trust and respect and focusing on inner and outer change.
