Remembering Rosalynn Carter 1927-2023

November 20, 2023

We are mourning the loss of beloved former First Lady Rosalynn Carter. A globally recognized humanitarian leader, she modeled brilliant public service and founded The Carter Center with her husband, former President Jimmy Carter. Her compassion for others was exemplified in her great commitment to mental health care advances, human rights, and conflict resolution, and her contributions toward building a world of greater peace and prosperity for all. We honor her life and legacy and extend our condolences to President Jimmy Carter, their family, and loved ones.
