As the end of 2019 approaches, we’ve gathered up the good news: the progress and accomplishments of Skoll social entrepreneurs, hard at work on the world’s thorniest problems. mothers2mothers employ women living with HIV to work as frontline health workers. These “Mentor Mothers” enable access to healthcare, enhance retention in care, and ensure adherence to treatment.
Amazon Conservation Team sees a future where healthy tropical forests and thriving local communities exist in harmonious relationship with each other, contributing to the well-being of the planet.
Gram Vikas partners with rural communities to increase inclusion and equity by building their capabilities, strengthening community institutions, and mobilizing resources. Here’s a snapshot of their 40th year.

Citizen Schools equips young people with the skills, access, and beliefs they need to thrive as students and succeed as adults in the modern economy. See more about its Make for All Initiative.
Gaia Amazonas is committed to the protection of biological and cultural diversity, and the future of the Amazon rainforest. Their advocacy work with the North Amazon Alliance, a coalition of eight NGOs with a long history in the north of the Amazon River region, is building a civil society strategy to ensure that the Amazon continues to function as a key system in regulating the global climate.
