The Skoll World Forum will take place as an all-virtual event from April 6–8, 2022. While we’re no longer gathering in Oxford this year, our team is planning an inspiring online program for advancing social progress. Our 2022 theme is “Face/Forward.” In this time of uncommon struggle, with painful truths revealed, we are learning from the past and moving collectively in the direction of progress. Together, we’ll face today’s challenges and advance the global solutions needed to bring people and planet into a thriving new era.

2022 Skoll World Forum Closing Plenary
After two jam-packed days of connection, dialogue, reflection, and learning, we’ll come back together to conclude the Forum with an inspiring group of leaders who challenge us to learn from the past and Face/Forward. From a technologist, a storyteller, and iconic global leaders, we’ll be challenged to think about the ways we’re all deeply connected, and how we can each wield our talents to embrace shared purpose and advance transformative change. We’ll round out the 2022 Forum with a soul-filling performance from Amadou & Mariam, the musical duo from Mali.

Today, as we confront the pervasive and inequitable impact of an ongoing pandemic, we come together online to Face/Forward and face the future with courage, determination, and hope. In this time of uncommon struggle, with painful truths revealed, we are learning from our past and moving collectively in the direction of progress. This forward momentum offers an opportunity to create a more equitable, sustainable, and prosperous world for all of us. Together, we’ll celebrate and honor the 2022 Skoll Awardees: six innovative organizations from around the world who are advancing the solutions needed to bring people and planet into a thriving new era. Plus an interview with USAID Administrator Samantha Power (filmed 3/29) by Scott Simon (NPR). And you can dance beside your desk with a performance from five-time Grammy Award winner Angélique Kidjo.
