Shauna Carey is an executive advisor and social impact leader expertise in strategy, communications and innovation.
Before becoming an independent consultant, Shauna spent 12 years at IDEO, where she led work focused on health care, economic opportunity, refugee rights, gender equality, and justice reform, and eventually became CEO of IDEO.org. She's designed education programs for Syrian refugees, digital financial services for unbanked communities, and public health campaigns that cut through the stigma that gets in the way of good care. She also designed and led a $15M innovation lab for the UK government.
Before joining IDEO, Shauna worked for a series of nonprofit organizations and mission-driven startups focused on expanding access to high-quality education and healthcare. She also serves on the board of a number of nonprofits and social enterprises.
