Biography
Sue is CEO and co-founder of Bioregional, a 2009 Skoll awardee, Schwab and Ashoka award-winning social entrepreneur. Sue and team work with partners and clients to create homes, communities and products and services which enable us to live well within a sustainable carbon and ecological footprint. Bioregional are behind exemplary residential communities, including BedZED eco-village in London, and Bicester eco-town in Oxford. Bioregional systematised their approach to create One Planet Living, a sustainability framework used in over $30billion of real-estate development, as well as by cities, organisations and companies around the world from Mexico to China, the USA and Australia. This global network has 1.4 million people living in places that have used One Planet Living. Sue draws on these inspiring examples to support policy change, including a formal role for Goal 12 of the UN SDGs. Sue was awarded an OBE in 2013 for services to sustainable business and London 2012 Olympic Games.
