Biography
Since joining Glasswing International in 2016, Sandra Contreras has built partnerships supporting programs that address violence, trauma, and forced migration across 12 countries in Latin America, the Caribbean, and beyond. As Director of Strategic Collaboration and Development, she works at the intersection of community needs and multi-sector collaboration, helping scale initiatives like Community Schools and SanaMente—a mental health program equipping frontline professionals with skills to manage stress and trauma in themselves and their communities.
Sandra draws from two decades partnering with communities across Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa. Her work with the Salvadoran government and organizations including FINCA, Save the Children, and Population Council centered on microfinance, humanitarian assistance, and youth development. She holds a Master's in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and is based in Bogotá, Colombia.
