Biography
Liz is a Portfolio Advisor at the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, working with the leadership of DRK’s portfolio organizations. Prior, Liz led the planning, launch and operations of the Kigutu International Academy, an innovative secondary school in rural Burundi, which is part of Village Health Works. Earlier, she assisted the Mastercard Foundation to design a major education initiative in Rwanda. Liz also held leadership roles at USAID, as founding Coordinator of the Young African Leaders Initiative and Senior Education Advisor in South Africa. Currently, she is Board Chair of the School of Leadership Afghanistan (SOLA). She served as a Trustee of the African Leadership Academy and Chair of the African Leadership Foundation. She received a BA from Williams College and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. In 2025 she was a Fellow at Stanford University’s Distinguished Careers Institute.
