Biography
Susan Sherrerd is a leader in philanthropic strategies for gender equity and a global advocate for women and girls. As President and Executive Director of the Muirfield Foundation, Susan supports historically underfunded, women-led, and girl-serving nonprofits across the United States and Global South. She is a Funding Partner of Co-Impact’s Gender Fund, a global collaborative focused on systems change initiatives in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
Susan advocates for donors to direct resources to underserved communities and champions a more inclusive approach to philanthropy. She is a board member of the Alliance for Women and Girls in Africa, an advisory board member of the S.H.A.U.N. Foundation for Girls in the U.S., and an emeritus advisory board member of Girl Up, United Nations Foundation. Susan graduated with honors from Princeton University and earned an MBA from the Wharton School and an MA from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.
