Biography

Olasimbo Sojinrin is the Chief Executive Officer of Solar Sister, where she leads the organization’s mission to empower women as clean energy entrepreneurs across sub-Saharan Africa. With almost 2 decades of experience advancing gender equity, energy access, and climate resilience, Simbo has driven Solar Sister’s growth in Nigeria, Tanzania, and Kenya, expanding economic opportunities for thousands of women. She is a recognized voice in women’s leadership and sustainable development, championing solutions that place women at the center of energy transitions. Simbo holds a strong track record in social enterprise leadership, partnership development, and community-driven impact, and remains committed to building a future where women power sustainable progress in their communities. Simbo is also the current National President of Women’s Consortium of Nigeria (WOCON). she holds a number of fellowships including Techwomen, Acumen West Africa fellowship and NLI Fellow.
